NIGHTMARE !!!! Single & Album terbaru Avenged Sevenfold

Sebelumnya emang udah tau tentang band yang sering disingkat A7X ini. Yang jelas, denger2 salah satu personilnya udah passed away, yup exactly penggebuk drum nya yaitu James Owen Sullivan alias The Reverend Tholomew Plague, yang biasa dipanggil The Rev.

Harus diakui memang, lagu2 A7X memang totally rock, terutama sejak genre mereka beralih dari metalcore ke hard-rock dan heavy metal. Dan satu yang harus diberi kredit, yaitu gebukan drum dari The Rev sendiri yang bisa dibilang gebukan one of the best drummer in the world.

Untuk album terbaru mereka--yang sudah digarap sebelum meninggalnya The Rev--mereka sudah mengkonfirmasi beberapa track yang sudah final akan dirilis dalam album ini. Salah satunya yaitu Nightmare, yang sudah dirilis video animasi lirik dan artwork-nya di YouTube.

Dan untuk info juga, dalam penggarapan single Nightmare ini, A7X meminta salah satu idola The Rev, yaitu drummer band Dream Theater, Mike Portnoy untuk mengisi posisi drummer dan memainkan drum track yang sebelumnya memang sudah diaransemen oleh The Rev. Berikut petikan pernyataan Mike Portnoy tentang keterlibatannya dalam penggarapan Nightmare dan tour A7X sepanjang 2010.

" Even under normal circumstances, I would've been happy to help the guys out in any way I could as I think Avenged Sevenfold are a great band; But under these incredibly sad and tragic circumstances, I must say I am truly honored to have been asked to play with them and I didn't even have to think twice about saying yes. These guys are a true family and it is an incredibly emotional experience to be here with them for the first time without their lost brother. But they have welcomed me into the family with open arms and there's a real excitement to make the record they had set out to make. I am treating my participation on this album with the utmost respect for Jimmy's memory and am remaining as true as possible to the drum parts that he wrote for the songs and the record he wanted to make.Although I wish I could stay on board with Avenged Sevenfold in a more permanent capacity; I will need to resume work with Dream Theater to start a new album at some point in 2011. However, I will be able to join my brothers in Avenged Sevenfold for at least the duration of their touring throughout 2010, and hopefully this will give them the time to continue to heal and get comfortable back on the road. "

Yang jelas, buat penggemar musik2 rock, Nightmare merupakan satu lagu yang wajib didengarkan, dan harus diakui lagu ini punya power dan spirit yang berbeda dari lagu2 mereka sebelumnya.

Dirilisnya single nightmare ini juga merupakan gebrakan awal A7X, yang menjanjikan musik yang berbeda dari album-album mereka sebelumnya. Well, sebaiknya kita tunggu saja gebrakan apa lagi yang akan dilakukan band A7X.
